About Us

Ken started in the insurance business in 1972. Was with Liberty Life for 26 years before opening Pleasure Island Insurance in 1998 with his son. Ken is married, has three children, and six grandchildren. He received his charter life underwritten (CLU) designation in 1985. Vietnam Veteran 1969 – 1970. Ken is an avid hunter & golfer and attends church regularly at Seaside Chapel in Carolina Beach.

Richard has been with Pleasure Island Insurance from the beginning in 1998.He has been offering commercial,beach and inland property insurance for Eastern North Carolina. He has three wonderful children, and in his spare time he enjoy fishing and hunting.

I have been with Pleasure Island Insurance since 2005. Helping to build our agency has made me develop and nurture so many relationships in our community, and that what this industry is truly all about; relationships. I love our clients! I enjoy the challenge the insurance industry holds and being able to find our clients the most complete insurance package to meet their needs, with some of the best rates in coastal NC. I love the beach, traveling, photography and scrap-booking!

Employed with Pleasure Island Insurance since 2003. Licensed agent in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. I have lived in Wilmington since 1983 and I am the proud Mother of 2 amazing girls. I enjoy life and learning things everyday.

I have been an Account Manager at Pleasure Island Insurance since 2015. Previously an agent with Nationwide Insurance for 15 years and VP of Credit for a National Equipment leasing company.

Started insurance career in PA in 1989 and moved to Wilmington, NC in 1998. Started as an insurance agent in 2005. I enjoy being able to give seamless quality service. I love going to the beach and spending time with my family.

I have been in Wilmington, North Carolina since 1986 and love that I get to call this place home. I started with Pleasure Island Insurance in 2013 after nearly 10 years in the mortgage business. I am a father to four kids and love staying active.

I have lived in the area for 34 years, married my high school sweetheart, and we now have two wonderful boys. Looking forward to learning and serving our community.

Eric moved to Carolina Beach from Cary NC in 2020, and began working in the insurance industry in 2021. He attended North Carolina State University where he acquired a Master’s degree in Meteorology. Eric previously worked at the YMCA where he oversaw youth and sports programs. He is eager to become part of the Carolina Beach community and serve its residents through his work. Eric enjoys running and playing golf in his spare time.

Originally from Goldsboro, NC I grew up enjoying getaways to our area beaches. I obtained a BS in Biology from East Carolina University, all the while volunteering on a local rescue squad and fire department.  I enjoyed giving back to my community and providing valuable services.  I went on to Medical Device Sales and was Certified in educating and fitting patients with Physical Therapy Devices.  When I moved back to Wilmington the end of 2016, I chose to become a licensed  Property and Casualty Insurance Agent in order to provide a different type of service.  I pride myself in working diligently with clients to find insurance policies that will meet all of their needs. It is my goal to help my clients understand what insurance policies make sense for them so that I can provide them with proper coverage.  In my free time, I like to visit with family & friends and explore this beautiful place I am fortunate to call home!
